Activating Synology camera license will need Synology server connect to Internet for verification.
If your Surveillance Station is working under an isolated network, you can activate surveillance license by either way below :
- Synology Surveillance Station Client ( Win/Mac )
- DS cam ( iOS/Android )
【Surveillance Station Client】 #
- Connect to the Internet: On a Win/Mac, install and launch Surveillance Station Client. ( Download from Synology here. )
- Manage licenses: Log in and click the gear icon in the bottom right corner. Go to License Management and then Manage License.
- Add or delete licenses: Select Add License/Delete License. Agree to the terms and choose a server from your list. Enter the license keys and confirm.
- Go offline: Transfer the updated client software to your NAS without internet access.
- Connect and activate: Launch the client on your NAS and sign in. The licenses will automatically activate or deactivate.
【DS cam】 #
- Connect to the internet: On a mobile device with internet access, launch the DS cam app.
- Manage licenses: Log in and tap the menu icon in the bottom left corner. Select Offline License Validation and then Manage License > Add License/Delete License.
- Add or delete licenses: Agree to the terms and choose a server, or tap Add Server and enter details. Enter the license keys and confirm.
- Go offline: Transfer the updated DS cam app to your NAS without internet access.
- Connect and activate: Launch the app on your NAS and sign in. The licenses will automatically activate or deactivate.

- You can only add or delete active licenses offline.
- Deactivated licenses can be reused for new accounts and Synology NAS.
